Nice looking, good function, easy assembly

In general AM1 STEP is very nice, and it's very easy to assemble step by step from the UM, some minor issues with limited or even no clues to assemble accessories for example chain cover, it won't be possible to assemble chain cover without breaking it after the bike is assembled.

Five-star speed machines that turn heads

A standard bike is the same as an e-bike – with the brakes on. That's how I feel after 200 km on a beautiful speed machine called the AM1. Actually, I ordered an AM1+ for myself and an AM1+ Step for my wife, and we're both very happy with them. The weight, the speed, the quality and the price match perfectly.

    About the assembly:
The installation was quite easy – and sweaty. The downside was that the instructions for the fenders and the handlebar basket were incomplete, so there was some extra work and brainwork involved.
Also, adjusting the mechanical disc brakes wasn't easy at all. The brakes still squeak a bit.

    About driving:
The delay of the motor feels a little bit odd at start, but you'll get used to it very quickly.
The driving position is quite sporty on the standard model, especially when you're 194cm like me. That's not a problem though, because there's high-rising stems out there.
I think a 36V motor could handle very steep hills even better, but for me and my wife the 24V motors are enough – almost zero effort, and no gears needed!
All in all, the bike goes as fast as anyone can go without a windshield. A nice bonus is that the motor actually assists you a little even after the legal 25km/h limit. The soft start is very nice too.
The battery calibration is not perfect, so there may seem to be only 20% power left when there's actually a lot more. I recommend getting at least two batteries, so it will be easy to play with them.

    About the looks:
Both of the models are very well designed, and the colors are very beautiful. The handlebar basket and the fenders look nice and sturdy as well. My wife likes the leather details on her bike too, although the brown saddle quickly got dark color from her jeans. For some unknown reason the chargers are from the 80's, which is not nice.
That said, everybody wants to look at the bikes, and I already gave a test drive for a colleague, so maybe we won't be the only Analog Motion ambassadors in Finland for very long.
