So I’ve upgraded the cheap plastic pedals to metal platforms, changed the moustache bars for low risers and upgraded to hydraulic brakes. Just awaiting on a olive, shortening kit so I can channel the front brake through the forks.

Hi!
Those changes look neat.
Are you happy with the new brakes? What brand/type are they and did you keep the existing rotors?
Thx!
I am also curious about the breaks.
Would be nice if you could share more details.
Hi Rich, thanks for sharing your modifications - looks good! Please could you share links to where you bought the parts? I would like to do the same :)
Are these the brakes, for example? https://www.aliexpress.com/i/33002489580.html
Thanks!
Hi the brakes are only cheep but look and work great. I have cable tied the front hose to the forks as need the correct olive kit to cut and thread through the small holes top and bottom. The rear can be thread through the frame no problem https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401922377684
Pedals. Ok sealed bearing,

And Handel bars from Tredz.co.uk

Hi Rich!
I bought the same brakes ans was wondering how you got the cable through the frame?
At which end of the brakes did you remove the cable and how did you refill them with fluid?
Cheers

I installed the brakes and it is very easy. Its possible to just take the cable off at the brake levers
Hello,
Very interested by the replacement of the brakes by hydraulic ones but not sure to understand what to do with the second cable (probably giving the information to the engine to stop when we brake) as this is not something common in the hydraulic brakes (at least not in my bike shop). And then how to make sure of the accuracy of the information given by the new brakes to the engine, to avoid any risk...
Thank you
