  • After trying to adjust the front wheel and brake for a good while I can confirm the disk is bent, the bike came like that, how can I get a replacement for the part?

  • Hi @ismaelserrano how much bent? Might be easiest just to straighten it. Less hassle?

Thanks, apart from not having the tools, why should I be doing that on a brand new bike that should not have faulty parts?

  • @ismaelserrano Do you have any photos/video of the disc rotor you can share so I take a look at?

  • I'm super curious if the tools that comes in the box are enough to setup a new rotor. That may also require special tools.

So many people have the same problem. I'm afraid it will be the same for me too

  • Hi everyone,
I received my new AMX a couple of days ago and I have the same problem with the front disk which seems to be bent. I went to my local bike shop and they came to the same conclusion after trying to adjust the front wheel and brake for a good while too. What is the process to get a new one?

  • Today I picked up my AMX from the local bikeshop, they tried to adjust the brakes (front and wheel) but gave up... fortunately without charging me. They recommended me to change both breaks and discs(!) for around 400€ because the quality of the original parts is very basic as they say and an adjustment not possible... I drove 100km with my AMX in total-that’s disappointing.

  • Hi - Sorry but this is just nonsense from the bike shop. These are the same brakes as used without issue on 000s if not 00,000s of bikes. They work absolutely fine. If a disk is bent it needs replacing. 400 Euros?!!! For what? Brakes transplanted off a McLaren F1?

    Hey Johannes,

This is nonsense. If you are struggling to setup your disc brakes we made a guide here:
    https://analogmotion.helpdocs.io/article/60noidsbb5-amx-disc-brake-adjustment-and-troubleshooting

Setting up disc brakes is alwasy a bit tricky but once it is set you don't have to go back and fiddle with them. If you are still struggling contact us on support@analogmotion.com and we will assist you. I would also advise uou to check our blog post about our alternative brake levers that are easier to setup :)
